Do you struggle with knowing how to foster a love for the Bible in your child? Or maybe you need to help your child practice writing, but don’t know what to tell them to write? The old-fashioned journal in the composition notebook doesn’t have prompts! Maybe all your writing ideas are the same, and you struggle to hold your child’s attention. If they can write, there’s a way to help them practice writing and develop that knowledge of scripture.
Introducing the Scripture Response Journal for Kids!
The answer lies in finding a balance between writing and scripture. I have found that when I write things down, such as prayers or what I learn from scripture, I remember it much easier. I have developed a resource to help you bridge the gap between scripture and writing. This “Scripture Response Journal” contains verses for each day, with writing and drawing prompts to help children make connections to the verse from God’s word. There are instructions and tips for helping your child enjoy writing as well as information about the stages of writing! These Scripture Response Journals were developed with ages 7-12 in mind, but they can be easily adapted for younger or older children by following the guidance in the front of the journal.
So far, “The Collection” and “The Gospels Part I” are the only books released. Others are on the way! If you would rather print your own, find this resource on teacherspayteachers.com at the link below.
